Yes, behind our wonderful meals is a team of dedicated individuals whose hard work and joyful personalities make it all possible. Today, I want to shine a light on why having a great kitchen team — one that works brilliantly together, enjoys their job and are absolutely committed to quality — is so crucial to the final product which ends up in your home and on your plate.
The Power of Teamwork
Each member of our kitchen team plays a unique role, from the recipe developers, to the sourcing of specialised ingredients, to the lead chefs who bring each meal component to life, right through to the plating team that make sure it looks consistent each and every time. It's also the kitchen hands, that scrub the pots n pans to keen the kitchen functioning and don't forget the amazing support staff that answer your calls or respond to your emails. When these roles align and the team works together, the result is nothing short of awesome.
Great teamwork ensures that every dish is prepared with care, our kitchen is clean and we take time to ensure consistency with every meal. It reduces errors as the synergy between team members ensures each person knows their role and executes it flawlessly.
Don't get me wrong, there can be days where someone calls in sick or needing to care for their child/loved one. This happens! When it does, and we're a team member short it can impact everyone but the team pulls together and where we can we make adjustments to ensure we work together!

A positive work environment fosters creativity and passion, which results into great meals. It's not uncommon to walk into the kitchen and jokes are flying, the music is on, staff are singing or they are immersed in happy silence. When team members enjoy their time together, they are more likely to bring enthusiasm to their work and respect one another.

Launching a new meal takes time, as we test meal at every stage of the cooking process. From making a small batch for 5 for testing purposed is much different to cooking for 200+. This process is more difficult than it sounds but our experience is now more than 8 years long so we've mastered the process.
Our committed kitchen team takes pride in their work, continually striving to improve and innovate. They understand that quality is non-negotiable and that their hard work directly impacts the meal experience. Many say, our meals are better than their local take-away or restaurant, and offers the ultimate convenience. This is exactly what we strive to achieve and our customers have come to love.

Ultimately, the best kitchen teams like ours operate like a close-knit family. They support one another, share a common goal, and celebrate their successes together. They also enjoy the benefits of "staff meals" as we do not let produce go to waste. When a meal is plated but we run out of one ingredient, the rest is still served as a staff meal. We don't let good food go to waste.
