Research: Gut-Brain Connection

Would you be interested in participating in nutrition research that will improve our understanding of the gut-brain connection?

 

Researchers from Monash University are looking for participants with and without depression, for a nutrition study. They are comparing the effects of two dietary patterns on depressive symptoms and other outcomes including microbiome composition, gut permeability, anxiety, and inflammation. Meals and snacks are delivered over 4 weeks which will be eaten for the duration of the trial.
You may be eligible if you:
  • Are aged between 18-65 years old
  • Live in Melbourne or Geelong
  • Have moderate-severe depressive symptoms (if you have depression)
  • Do not have a diagnosed food allergy, severe food intolerance or dietary restriction.
